During experiments involving environmental holders, the safety of your TEM is very important. With this in mind, we have developed a high vacuum leak check station for all our environmental cell holders. Although our hardware and procedures for using the TEM environmental holders is extremely robust in preventing sealing issues, one cannot always control everything. Therefore we provide this system as standard with any environmental cell holder to allow each cell to be proof-tested before insertion in your TEM.

Each station features short pumping and venting times, a very low base pressure (<10^-6 mbar), and a glass viewing port for the holder tip. The integrated stereo-microscope allows researchers to inspect and test the seal of each liquid or gas cell assembly before loading it into the TEM, crucial for protecting the microscope’s vacuum quality.
