Recently, Raymond Unocic of the Microscopy Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, in collaboration with Hummingbird Scientific, received the Birks Award from the Microanalysis Society for the Best Contributed Paper presented at the 2011 Microscopy and Microanalysis conference for his presentation, “In Situ TEM Characterization of Electrochemical Processes in Energy Storage Systems.” Co-authors included ORNL’s Leslie Adamczyk, Nancy Dudney, Karren More and Hummingbird Scientific’s Daan Hein Alsem and Norman Salmon.
