At the M&M 2015 conference, sign up early to reserve your spot at our booth #554 at 5:30pm each evening. We have two exclusive tutorial sessions and space is limited.
Date: Tuesday, August 4, 2015, 5:30pm
Title: Liquid Cell TEM – Past, Present and Future
Description: As the field of in-situ liquid cell TEM matures, we see a wide range of new applications. In this tutorial we will review the field of liquid cell TEM with research examples from electrochemistry, biology and nano-scale materials synthesis. We will also show how Hummingbird Scientific’s liquid cell in-situ TEM holders have propelled this characterization technique from the first lab-built liquid cell to the everyday characterization technique that is today. Finally, future outlook and challenges will be discussed.

Title: In-situ TEM Characterization of Nanomaterial Reactions in Real-world Environmental Conditions
Description: Hummingbird Scientific’s operando transmission electron microscope gas catalysis catalyst analysis system is presented. It allows direct microstructural imaging at atomic resolution, magnification of gas-catalysis and other solid-gas interfacial reactions at elevated temperatures while measuring gas reaction species concentrations. This enables new direct fundamental insights into gas-catalysis reactions. These fundamental insights will lead to an expedited development of a new generation of catalytic materials. We will illustrate this with a series of application examples.
